Absolutely.
Before initiating Arbitration proceedings, notice of 30 days to the opposite party is necessary which become a part of application for arbitration. (Section 11 (4) & (5) of Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996.

Yes. the prior notice of 30 days is as per the Sec 11 of Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996 and in comply with the principles of natural justice.
