Limitation for registration

What is the period of limitation for purchasing a stamp paper/franking a leave and licence agreement which is intended to start from mid of November. Till what time can the registration be allowed. Can it be done so. Is there any specific book for reference.
This is very urgently required.

4 months from the date of franking better you refer the Registration and stamps act of respective state.

It should be written within 6 months of purchase of stamp paper.It should be registered at Register Office within 4 months of exicution or after 4 months it has to be registered at Dist.Register Office

within one month of date of execution you have pay stamp duty and registration can be done with in four months of execution of the document.
