Object of society member/chairment for selling flat

(Querist) 22 October 2010 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

I have one property located in rich area of ahmedabad, gujarat. I want to sell this property for some personal need of money.
There are 2-3 buyers who are ready to purchase this flat.
I can get the benefit of 3 lacs extra then the expected property price if I sold it to one of the buyer. but society chairmen and flat neighbor are taking objection against this deal.
They are asking not to sell flat to Sindhi community people and I don’t see any such reason for objection. For them only community is concern. For their satisfaction they can even go through background checking process which includes No Criminal Certificate or etc.
Can anyone please suggest me remedy of this issue?

Thanks in advance.

The Societies can have such objects not to permit persons of other communities / religion. It is legal. Whoever have joined the Society have joined only after subscribing to such objects. Therefore they cannot complain later against the Society's such objects.

Thank you sir for your immediate response.
but members have objection related to community only. there is no as such problem in character of that person. can't we have any work around ??

Yes, I understand - it is not the question of character, it is the community which the members are objecting. They will continue to object and they have a right to do so, if the objective of the Society is so. You will not be able to work around.
