Registration of Partition Decree

If there is a necessity of registration of a partition decree awarded by court.Please reply with legal position.

The Final decree of partition passed by a court in a suit for partition is compulsorily registrable under Sec.17 of the Indian Registration Act. Otherwise title will not pass under the unregistered final decree.
