Stamp & Regn. fees for lease deed

Dear Experts,
My client is entering in to an lease agreement for shop premises to run a textile business & wishes to enter into lease agreement for 10 years, for payment of monthly rental of Rs.8,000/- & thereafter to increase rent @5%..
Now he wishes to register the same? what is the stamp duty payable on the document & registration fees payable for the same in the Karnataka State.

You can get the stamp charges and registrations from the Indian Stamp Act. But some states have different percentages. So you approach the Sub-registrar office where the property is situated to have a first hand information.
