When I was working in old department a fir is lodge against me which is pending and about to dispose of in 3-4 month. But due to case is pending in court I want some time in joining so I requested for 6 month extension in joining but they give me 1 month time only. Sir pls suggest me how can I get 6 month time so that I finish all pending case in old job and join in new with fresh mind. You have stated only after police verification orders were issued. If you didn't reveal the pending case it may create problem. Try to get exemption from appearing since your posting is outside the state through your councel. Since you have applied through proper channel, and the delinquemcy in your old post, this may not affect you.

You are fortunate that, in spite of the pending criminal case, you have cleared the police verification and is appointed to the new job. You are in a wrong pursuit if you delay joining the new post.

As regards to your presence in the court, your advocate can seek exemption from appearance. Courts have the discretion to grant such exemption except on the occasion of Section 313-examination. Moreover, Courts are quite lenient in this context because of the Covid-19 scenario. .

It is advisable to join your new job in the given conditions rather to seek time for joining.

There is no guarantee that case would end in next 6 months. Next date can be given on one or the other reason / COVID-19 situation.

This case will also be hindrance in acceptance of resignation which you are yet to realise.

First of all police verification was not needed in this case and the new deptt could have called for verfication done by earlier deptt.

You are saying that you mentioned about this case and yet being appointed. Difficult to swallow although some experts tend to believe this.

Not known in which workings you mentioned it and not clear what addresses (past five years) you stated and where the case is.

Please come clear with facts so that the experts who have commented so far can review their views.
