Converting ews certificate language hindi to english

(Querist) 06 June 2020 This query is : Resolved
my ews certificate is in hindi language but in IIT admissions, they want the certificate language must be in english while my certificate format is same as in english given in their site so what should I do? I belongs to Banda district in uttar pradesh.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 06 June 2020
Get the certificate translated from a lawyer or any 1st Class Gazetted Officer or Notary Public and get the same attested from the translator specifying therein that the translation of the original certificate has been made by him and the same is accurate word to word. Such certificate shall have to be attached with the original certificate issued in Hindi.

Well analysed, opined and advised by expert Sh. Raj Kumar Makkad, I fully agree and appreciate.
However, it is not a legal query.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 07 June 2020
Thanks Dr. Vashishtha ji for encouragement.
Rishabh Saxena (Querist) 07 June 2020
Thanks Mr.Raj Kumar Makkad sir for your advise i will definitely do it, since Banda is a small town here govt. bodies are too rigid. But as per your advise I will try this procedure.
Because this certificate is signed by tahsildar so can tahsildar also do it? Or not
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 07 June 2020
In some courts there are authorized translator, you can get their services under their certificate.
These can be translated, and translation may be confirmed by your College Principal / first class gazette officer.
P. Venu (Expert) 07 June 2020
There is no legal basis for for such insistence. Hindi is the Official Language of our Country (see part XVII of the Constitution). No citizen could discriminated on the ground that the documents are Hindi. The stand of the IIT is all the more ridiculous in that it is a centrally managed institution and it is under strict obligation to promote Rashtrabhasha. In fact this institution would certainly be having its own Hindi Department with an array of officers and officials. May be this could be the overreach of some junior officials.

Bring the issue to the notice of the competent authority through the Public Relations Officer and seek remedy. This is a trivial issue and the IIT is bound to correct themselves, immediately.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 07 June 2020
I fully support the advice of expert P. Venu to the effect that no institute has got any authority to ignore Rashtarbhasha Hindi and certificate in Hindi should be duly accepted by the institute mentioned by you. You should also agitate on this point though this is another aspect of your query.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 08 June 2020
You are most welcome Raj Kumar Makkad ji.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 08 June 2020
You can submit the translated copy with original and your request to change the said instruction.

Admission is associated with fixed time schedule, if the matter is taken legally, career of the student can be at stake.
One must proceed to change such the rule, yet keeping in mind the career, presently the requirement of the institution should be fulfilled.
The matter should be followed up to change such rule.
