Dear Rohan,
It does not require any special qualification to practice as lawyer in intelectual property, but you will have to get tharo knowledge in the particular act.
In the matter of law firm, U can get suggestions from the advocates of this club.
But join a good firm or senior, because good senior is the good book.

You have done LLB and if you are registered under state Bar council that is sufficient to practice as a lawyer. It does not require any special qualification to practice as lawyer in intelectual property, but you will have to get practical knowledge in the particular act. It is better for you to
join a good firm or senior to get the practical experience.
charudureja (Expert) 05 October 2009
The degree of LLB itself gives u the right to practise in any field of ur choice whether u have cleared exam or not on that particular subject. but what is more important is that u must have knoweldge about the subject so that u can handle the case, and if u wish to study ipr there are online courses too even wipo sites provide for free beginners courses in ipr. 2ndly about law firms u can search them google too.

If any lawyer registered with State bar council and having Sanad can practice in any branch/field. There is no such criteria in a black and white to have such qualification . Now a days there are many specilization course introduced by so many institutes and Universities , if you want to acquire more knowledge, perceive it to have extra advantage for your practicing in that field.
