Divorce

I was forced into a marriage by my father in 2004, stating that both my married sisters would be left by their husbands; and also that he would not pay for my college education.

For the first 3 years she had been living in my parents house, but in a separate room. After completing my graduation, i have been staying separate from my parents, and she has also left my parents' house from last 2 years.

I had tried for mutual divorce. Previously they had agreed, but now they are against it, saying that they will not allow me to marry again; and refusing divorce.

I already have a girl to marry, whom everyone knew about before this marraige; but for whom my family opposed.

I don't have any child from this marriage.
I never wanted to get married.

What are the options and chances of getting a divorce, and the time it may take.

I would be very thankful for the advice.

well the best option is that of mutual consent.

wife is having enough tools to catch u in legal tangels.

try to resolve the matter amicably.

and visit some local counsel, he will be in position to give u the technical details as well, though u may end up paying some professional charges, but in ur case its better to take some personal consultation.

If mutual doesn't work out, will i never be able to get out of this. Can you be more specific on what point can i use to my advantage.

Mr Rohit if u were nt intersted in marriage u should have put ur foot down at that time only, by not taking a stand n beeing blackmailed then u have spoiled 3 lives.
Now u dont want to be part of the marraige any more talk to wife and try to obtain divorce by mutual consent, u can get entangled in more problems.
