Is more than 20 casual labour working in charitable trust are eligible for pf contribution.

There is no need to read appointment letter rather this is the requirement of EPF & MP Act, 1052 to cover such unit wherein any day 20 or more persons were working for gainful employment. Trust is also covered under Act.

I will agree with Mr Makkar, Mr Dhingra, Mr Arunagiri and Mr Shailesh Shah only if the organisation is conducting a business mentioned in schedule to the EPF&MP Act 1952 and if it can be proved that atleast 20 empoyees are receiving salary. YES the employees of religious institutions are generally terrified lot and when PF Deptt conducts inspection they call themselves as volunteers.
