Dear Sir,
File a suit for declaration against persons who are denying your title and get declaratory suit and on the basis of such Court decree you can get mutation.

Ji, you go to Registrar office concerned and make an application for a copy of the deed which you lost. If you don't know correct date, make a name search application to the registrar. But it will take some time as it is long back document.

Yes, you can get certified copy of the deed from the SRO. Anyhow, this is not a ground for denying the mutation.

how it is that the land records were not corrected for 30 years by the concerned department ? who is paying tax/ revenue? Is there is any challenge to your ownership of land ? All questions are unanswered. However if all is well you have already beel well advised above by esteemed experts

Why did you not find out title documents of the property for the last 30 years? If it was not mutated during last 30 years what is requirement at this stage?
It creates a doubt on your statement.
It would be advisable to consult another local prudent lawyer with relevant documents/case file for better appreciation and guidance.
However, if you are located in Delhi/ NCR and feel so, may contact me (on appointment) with case file at: Chamber No 647, Lawyer's Chamber Block, Dwarka Courts Complex, Sector 10, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 Cell # +91 98911 52939 or email: majjagdish@yahoo.com
