How to draw a diagram for detecting Sapinda Relationship?
KISHAN DUTT KALASKAR (Expert) 12 December 2019
Dear Sir,

Sapinda Relationship Section 3 (f) of HMA ,1955 defines Two persons would be Sapindas when they have common ancestor.  According to Hindu Law , when two persons offer Pinda to the same ancestor , they are Sapindas to each other. . Sapinda relationship

(f) (i) “ sapinda relationship” with reference to any person extends as far as the third generation (inclusive) in the line of ascent through the mother, and the fifth (inclusive) in the line of ascent through the father, the line being traced upwards in each case from the person concerned, who is to be counted as the first generation;
(ii) two persons are said to be “sapindas” of each other if one is a lineal ascendant of the other within the limits of sapinda relationship, or if they have a common lineal ascendant who is within the limits of sapinda relationship with reference to each of them;

The decision though was not taken by site owners but by experts themselves but it is also seen that experts have also changed and many new persons have joined here. I do welcome all of them. New comers are not known about the decision taken by old horses.

Special Marriage Act contain certain restriction which also include sapinda relationship.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 30 December 2019
Sapinda relationship" with reference to any person extends as far as the third generation (inclusive) in the line of ascent through the mother, and the fifth (inclusive) in the line of ascent through the father, the line being traced upwards in each case from the person concerned, who is to be counted as the first .
wo persons are said to be "sapindas" of each other if one is a lineal ascendant of the other within the limits of "sapinda" relationship, or if they have a common lineal ascendant who is within the limits of "sapinda" relationship with reference to each of them.
You can get the diagram if you refer to the book of Hindu marriage act, 1955.
