Can stepson inherit stepmother's ancestral property

Hindu stepmother died in 2003.Her husband died in 2014.She has no child from her womb,only one stepson from her husband's first marriage.First wife died long back.Can the stepson inherit stepmother's ancestral property from her parent's side???

It is believed that you are confining to this marriage and it was her 1st marriage and not remarriage for her and she did not have a child from a previous marriage.

How it is possible to receive step mother's property by step son? He is not her legal heir / successor as sec. 15 of Hindu Succession Act 1956.

If property is devolved to her from her parents, then it how step son can inherit?

You have not stated, when and under what circumstances your stepmother inherited the property of which of her ancester from her parent's side?
