THE CHARITABLE ENDOWMENTS ACT, 1890ACT No. 6 OF 1890. 1*[7th March, 1890.]An Act to provide for the Vesting and Administration of Property heldin trust for charitable purposes. WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the vesting andadministration of property held in trust for charitable purposes; Itis hereby enacted as follows:- 1. Title, extent and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called theCharitable Endowments Act, 1890. (2) It extends to the whole of India 2*[except the State ofJammu and Kashmir]; 3*** and (3) It shall come into force on the first day of October, 1890.
