Section : Short title, extent and commencement.

THE INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL ACT, 1947 ACT NO. 48 OF 1947 1 [31st December, 1947.] An Act to constitute an Indian Nursing Council.. WHEREAS it is expedient to constitute an Indian Nursing Council in order to establish a uniform standard of training for nurses, midwives and health visitors; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 1.Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Indian Nursing Council Act,1947. 2[(2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.] (3) It shall come into force at once.
