IT IS DESIRABLE TO ALLOW LAWYERS TO ADVERTISE . EVEN WITH PROHIBITION ALSO SOME OF THEM ARE ALREADY ADVERTISING IN ONE OF OTHER WAY. THERFORE, WHY NOT LEGALISE THIS.

no,advocates should be allowed to advertise,if advertised people will get trapped with the advt and will not be able to judge the lawyer in original form and chances are high that they shall get duped for ever, and it is also insecurity for upcoming of intelligent lawyers who is hailing from a middle lower class to spend for advt. and promotion and also it is not true alwaya what we see in advertisements.

Yes, Advocates should be allowed to advetise themselves as its a late profession to start earning at an age of 25 minimum. Also there are no major earning source during internship or while just starting practising law. So advertise will make it more professional

because, there are now so many advocates throughout India and not like around 1963. In the advertisement world, advocate can not survive without advertisement. Moreover, this advertisement can only help advocate to reveal out him as an advocate but not to reveal out his efficiency. As no advertisement, the time takes so many years to emerge him as an advocate . By that time, so many advocates are supposed to leave this profession due to shortage of income.

They should be allowed to advertise their services and expert areas.Even CA,CS and doctors are allowed to advertise and day by day the number of practising lawyers and areas of practice are also increasing therefore advocates should be allowed to advertise.

Lawyers must be advertised. The reason behind this one who wants legal assistance, he may easily approach to the particular professional practising lawyer directly. This will improve the dignity and practise of lawyers.

If they let us advertise can you imagine how that would be? " all cases will be done here at cheap rates" " for two cases we will deal one case free" " bring three cases and get your case done for free" Being in a noble profession, which is already in a stage of rotting because of we as the members of it dont care to respect that, shall not allow this steep death to its honour. We have a set of morals, ethics and guidelines to follow and lets not deviate from them.

Advertaisement is a media / tool to others to know about the skills and knowledge one possess. Now every thing goes with personal referances and clietns may not know to whom to approach for a remedy. By this way he will have choice to approach a right person.

NOW C.A.& C.S.CAN ALSO ADVERTISE HIS PROFESSION THEN WHY SHOULD NOT AN ADVOCATE?

Advocacy is a profession and cannot be mixed with business. If an Advocate is good at profession then obviously he/she will come up in both ways i.e. professionally and commercially. An advocate should not advertise about his office/services which is against his dignity

we must be given liberty to advertise. advertsinig our name is not going to make this noble profession into a poor one. it would be beneficial to the public since they will get to know which firm or advocate is better for me.

Due to restrictions imposed by Bar Council of India, as per the provisions of Advocate Act, 1961, advocates can advertise for existing clients to provide better service. If any new client interested to contact the advocate, he is seeking information at his own accord and that advocate is not in any manner whatsoever solicited.

Noble profession in my opinion does in no way confer a meaning associated with advertisement. Advertisement devoid of solicitation or inducing the public. After all for whose benefit the advertisement is, is the criteria that can as well be regulated by legislation after deregulating the present legislation.

Commercialization increased needing the services to be well organized. Corporate Hospitals are advertising like head ache clinic, skin clinic, diabetes centre etc. This is an indirect advertisement despite the fact that the doctors are not supposed to advertise except putting name boards like Advocates. If a person has achieved substantial ground in one particular speciality based on clientage, why not he advertise like Company Lawyer, Criminal Lawyer, Insurance Lawyer etc without a word containing solicitation like 'contact''consult' etc.

lawyers should have every right to advertise, this way they can attract clients, and in doing so they can let the world know that the are available to take up matters in the interest of the public and the state itself.

Lawyers and law firms can be allowed to advertise with some restrictions. It would not be in the interest of the profession if lawyers are allowed full blown advertising as it would paint a bad picture. On the other hand lawyers may be permitted to have websites, enroll in web directories etc
