In order to provide relief to the parties in dispute, 27,372 cases were settled in the Mega Lok Adalat Samadhan-2008 in the areas falling under Gurgaon Sessions Division.
Stating this, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority D N Bhardwaj told that as many as 23,407 cases were settled in the Mega Lok Adalat organised here. Out of these 11,387 cases were solved by the judicial officers while 12,020 cases were settled by Executive and Revenue officers here.
Since, Nuh and Firozpur Jhirka also come under Gurgaon Sessions Division, 1483 cases were settled in Nuh and 2482 cases in Ferozpur Jhirka by both Judicial and Executive officers.
He said that the decision of organizing Mega Lok Adalat Samadhan-2008 was taken in October last and since then cases which can be solved through mutual consent were being settled because the number of cases were so high that it was difficult to take up all cases in just two days. So, the cases decided from October till date was considered to be part of Mega Lok Adalat.
