I had one experience while working in a commercial establishment where once a retd. judge of a High Court was appointed as arbitrator and the maximum limit of his fees were also fixed by the court. The arbitrator allowed so many adjournments on one after another plea of the opposite party that ultimately his fees exceeded the said limit without any settlement of the disputes. He then insisted for raising his fees.
the president of a residential society is the sole arbitrator in a case of his society. what whould be the reasonable fees which can be fixed for the sole arbitrator
This happens to be a valuable information. Please apprise about the excat source of the above information.
I had one experience.A retired Bombay High court Judge working as an arbitrator . Charged fee on every adjournment far more than the stake and finally dismissed both parties' counter claims AND ASKED FORE FEEDBACE AND MORE WORK!!!
VERY RIGHT JUDGMENT - ARBITRATION HAS LOWERED TO SUCH LEVELS THAT IT HAS BECOME A MOCKERY OF JUSTICE
fees are high because of their brand value, knowledge value, contact value, relationship value , network value
some time it is noticed smaller frie sare not allowed to speak , expensive lawyers have sunk investments
