Justice Jacob Koshy may take over as CJ on Mar 18 Patna | Friday, Mar 6 2009 IST Justice Jacob Benjamin Koshy, presently a judge of Kerala High Court, will take over as the next Chief Justice of Patna High Court later this month. Sources at the Patna High Court here today informed that acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court Chandramauli Kumar Prasad had been appointed as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. While Mr Koshy was likely to take over the charge on March 18, Mr Prasad may assume office two days later, the sources added. Born on May 13, 1947, at Arranmula in Kerala, Mr Koshy got his law degree from the Ernakulam Law College. Considered a specialist in Labour and Taxation laws, Mr Koshy had represented a number of reputed institutions and major undertakings. President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil has recently issued her warrants of appointments also of the Chief Justices of Rajasthan, Sikkim and Kerala High Courts. -- (UNI) -- 06CA9.xml
