Concern Over Nuclear Liability Law

Many countries have expressed their concern regarding the nuclear liability law. We have been reiterating to all the relevant countries the fact that this is an Act passed by the Parliament of India. The Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act, 2010 is in force with effect from November 11, 2011. Government presently does not have any proposal to amend the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act, 2010. This was stated by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
