Consolidate Report on SYMPTOMS

Symbiosis Law School, Pune successfully organized Symptoms 2012, its Annual Intra-College Festival. 

This five day long festival began on 27th of August 2012 and finally came to an end today the 31st of August 2012, with the prize distribution ceremony in Symbiosis Law School, Pune Auditorium. Prof. Dr. Shashikala  Gurpur, Fulbright Scholar, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune & Dean, Faculty of Law,  Symbiosis International University graced the occasion and gave away the prizes to the winners. 

This festival gives an idea of what competing in an inter-college festival feel like. The fest serves as an audition for all students who would like to compete in such external festivals while on the other hand it is a faucet which allows the creative juices of our budding lawyers to flow.

Highly appreciated and widely popular events like Music (Western & Classical solo), Quiz, Poster Making, Dance, JAM, Face painting, Creative Writing, Mad Ads, Dumb-Charades, and Business Challenge were part of the bouquet on offer at Symptoms ’12. Legal events like Debates and Legislative Drafting, given our formidable reputation as a premier law school were also major crowd-pullers.

Given the relentless academic log-jam of a law school, Symptoms’12 proved to be a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent as well as managing skills.

On 31st August the event came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Shashikala Gurpur, Fulbright Scholar, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune & Dean, Faculty of Law, Symbiosis International University. Speaking on the occasion she said that these fests are reminiscent of the joy of college days, she also spoke on and about Symptoms and Symbhav (Symbiosis Law School’s Inter-collegiate Fest) and stated that Symptoms was the best way to kick start the process in organizing Symbhav ’13. The ceremony also consisted of three individual performances along with the prizes.

All in all the ceremony proved to be a success with the student council organizing the event successfully and providing the students with memories and opportunities that they would carry forward, especially with the fest season arriving and also Symbiosis Law School, Pune’s own, Symbhav’13.
