Anil Kumar Agarwal takes Over as New ESIC DG

Shri Anil Kumar Agarwal, IAS has taken over over the charge of the Director General of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation( ESIC) under Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India at its Headquarter yesterday. Shri Agarwal is an IAS officer of 1981 batch. Before this he was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Resources Development Department, Govt. of West Bengal.

 

Shri Anil Kumar Agarwal, IAS has got vast experience of governance and management in the Ministries of Environment & Forests and Agriculture & Co-operation of Central Govt. and in the field of Revenue, Urban Development, Labour & Employment, Science & Technology, Consumer Affairs and Agriculture in the State Govt. He is a graduate of IIT Kanpur and post-graduate of IIM Bangalore. He has also earned post-graduate degree of Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, New York, USA.

Congratulations for taking over the charge of pioneer social security organisation and we hope golden days are again back to the ESIC under his able management due to of his vast experience and high academic qualification. We hope best for the ESIC

I sincerely hope that the new DG will look into the huge wasteful expenditures and extravaganza being followed by ESIC during the last few years and direct the focus of the department on Insured Persons under the scheme, reminding every one that the scheme run on trust and the money is deposited by the lesser paid industrial workers in trust with the scheme for their own good.
