Sir, Interested witness is not only called as zealous witness but also called as partisan witness. This is due to the fact that he owes allegiance to a party exclusively from the side of whom he appears in the witness box. He has previous alliance with the party producing him and thus his testimony is severely attacked by the opposite party. The court does not easily take his testimony and demands coroborative evidence in order to rely on it. perhaps it is due to this he is also called as zealous witness as he stands only for the party producing him.
