i am a jeweller i bought some loose diamonds from a agent on cash but without any bill ...the agent didnt paid amount to his provider.... the provider filed a case against him..police caught hold him and came to me for verification whats my fault? and can i do? am i also guilty?

According to me you are not guilty as you were not aware about original provider and arrangment between seller and his boss/principle. In any case bona fide purchaser.
You simply explain that you purchased the diomonds and that fellow not provides any bill although requested.
