whether notice by email from Police is sufficient to send the info?

a police officer through his official id has sent a request for info to investigate a matter. is email sufficent or shud we ask for letter?

yes sufficient.... in spite of that you may ask for written notice....

According to the Information technology act and the indian evidence act it is sufficient to send the notice via email but the criminal.procedure procedure and provision to be invoked appropriately.
