pardon for loans

my dad had taken a loan from SBI without our knowledge after eight years that he expired the bank people came n told that we had to pay around 50000 ,we are helpless we don't have any money to pay please help

The Bank can collect only from the property of your father and if there is no property and if you haven't partaken in your father' s property you need not worry.

Contact a local advocate as any guidance provided by members without studying facts may be not proper and adequate.

There is limitation period for loan. What has he done with that loan amount, (Creation of asset like house or machinery) Whether he has offered any securities and whether any of his property was shared by legal heirs is also material.
