the problem here is that this person's elder brother is a senior officer in Delhi police . otherwise his complaint would not have been lodged at all in the first place .

Don’t assume that everyone would be friends. I am sure if you meet the very senior officer with rank of DSP & above this would help. Understand you have all rights to meet any police officer of any rank till you have a valid reason. Also you could write to LG , Home & Justice

First, ask on what charges the police officer called you ?
Accordingly, go ahead.
If you have no charges, you may not reply to police officer.
If still, he creates problem, simply file a complain against him, with proper charges, to court.
Polices are only well treated by court.
If you have a valid reason / good ground - your case will be good. And the police officer, including all his superior relatives, will never look back to you!!!

REGARDING HARASSMENT FROM POLICE KINDLY NOTE THAT.
1.IN CASE ANY COMPLAINT IS FILED UNDER COGNIZABLE OFFENCES AT POLICE STATION AGAINST YOU,THEN COPY OF SAID COMPLAINT IS SENT TO THE NEAREST COURT. YOU MAY CHECK DETAILS FROM THE COURT CLERK OF CHIEF JUDICIAL MAGISTRATES COURT.
2.IN CASE OF NON COGNIZABLE OFFENCES POLICE OFFICER CAN NOT TAKE COGNIZATION OF OFFENCE.
3.YOU MAY KINDLY FILE AN APPLICATION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL WITH THE HELP OF LEGAL EXPERTS.TO THE SESSIONS COURT AND MENTION THE CASE NUMBER IF KNOWN AND IN CASE YOU DONOT KNOW THE CASE NUMBER JUST MENTION THE DATES WHEN YOU WERE CALLED BY POLICE. THE HONOURABLE COURT WILL CALL REPORT OF CONCERNED POLICE STATION AND IN CASE ANY OFFENCE IS REGISTERED THEN MAY GRANT YOU ANTICIPATORY BAIL.ONCE YOU GET THE AB ORDER ,IN CASE OF ARREST IT IS ORDER TO RELEASE THE ACCUSED BY ACCEPTING BAIL AS PER ORDER.
4.KINDLY NOTE THAT YOU HAVE TO SHIFT FOR ABOUT A WEEK DURING THE PENDENCY OF YOUR ANTICIPATORY BAIL APPLICATION AS THERE ARE CHANCES OF ARREST BY POLICE IF CRIME IS REGISTERED.
