Surname change

Respected Sir/Madam,

My self Balaji Gir, i am planning to go Dubai for JOB. I have my passport and wife passport by my family name Gir. We have one baby boy, for that, we want to apply for Passport but with our actual famliy surname Giri. I have gazette for name correction from Pune.

Please tell me it is ok if my boy surname is different than me on passport. No problem for his visa.

Please advise me what to do in this regards.

If you have done gazette notification, it is ok, no problem.  Along with the passport application, attach the gazettee notification.  But you have to change the name in your passports too (i.e. yourself and your wife) along with your son.

The change of name through gazette publication is a valid document to prove that your name has been changed to the present one, hence you may apply for passport for your son with the changed surname, in case of any clarification by passport authorities, you may attach the attested copy of the gazette publication to support your statement.
