If serving govt servant can enroll himself as an advocate?

Hi  i want to know whether a serving govt employee who done his LL.B  as regular student in evening classes can enroll himself as an advocate?

Dear Mr Aman, According to Advocates act and Bar council of India norms,you are restricted to enroll as an advocate until you are serving as an govt employee. There are some Exceptions for specific cases. Thanks, Chellapandian k Advocate High court , chennai.

In addition even if you are permitted by deptt and enrol yourself still you cannot practice in court till you are in service.

 

further by enrolling yourself you are percluded from appearing as Defence Asstt in departmental proceedings.
