Land Document correction

Dear Sir.
I want to purchased a land in Coimbatore. When I saw the  documents of the seller  I noticed there is a clerical error in the document. Registration year instead of 1977 entered as 1997 in two places among three in the document. Sir tell me how to correct it.

Dear Friend,

No need to worry it could be  cured/rectifed by deed of rectification by duly refering of the typographical errors  but this is to be attested by the vendor & vendee who executed the deed.

Trusting clarified well.

Regards,

Some courts are very sticky and insist on giving the the extant law for such like corrections, in the legal documents. For Civil cases Section 152 is applicable and for Criminal matters Section 482 should be quoted.AS a matter of act every court has an inherent power to correct such lke typographical error suo motu.
