Doling out public funds

As the name suggests NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION and not a department of the govt , under what law of the land or provisions govt at the states and at the centre dole out huge sums of money from the govt exchequers to a large numbers of NGOs registered under different Registrars of the States and supposedly engaged in works in papers only?

@Querist,

'DONATION'.

I think for that anyone in our country, at least, need not make any legal restriction unless the fund is used for illegal purposes or fail on audit related issues.

Thank,

Regards,

Why some members are so touchy about an honest forum discussion on constituional provision or abuse of constitutional provision on this issue. We very well know Navin EC Cha Wala recd huge donations from the MPLAD for his wife's NGO . There are almost 99 out of 100 NGOs which receive huge doles from the govt of India or the govt at the states in the name of culture, vultures, Matha, Peethas, Trusts or Mistructs are directly connected with the retired bureaucrats who held high position in the govt . A huge amount of money can be saved and used for more fruitful purposes rather doling them out to the ex bureaucrats for their unstinted support to the ruling parties.

It is an art to wangle public funds for private purposes. They all do it legally and are never caught.

But why NGOs are provided Govt Funds at the first place. Why can't it be stopped forthwith?

RTI query asked but no info provided. Second appeal is pending for a long time with CIC.

Inormation Officers are retired babus not judidicial officers. What do you expect from the ex-govt servants? To go against the Govt. Most unlikely. That is why Supreme Court said they should be men of judicial service which govt is scared to appoint.

Not only the govt. I attended a lecture organised here at Sec-bad where Sri Shailesh Gandhi ex-IC/CIC was seen spearheading a campaign against that Supreme Court Judgement. Do you believe it is the govt or some other vested interest groups who are stalling the decision of the supreme court decision. Its now bureaucrats vs Our LORDSHEEPS.

My second appeal is also pending with CIC for a long time. There is reshuffle of portfolios for a long long time. Dy registrars are almost permanent. There is a nexus.
