Time period of post dated cheque

Is there a time Framme for issuing post dated cheque .CAN A PRIVATE LIMTED COMPANY ISSUE POST DATED CHEQUE OF THE DATE 101 YRS AFTER. pl note i am asking about private limited company. await answer

of late the validity period of the cheques have been reduced to 90 days instead of 180 days earlier.

Law is not clear about it.  Banks normally take 36 post dated cheques  for monthly EMIs i.e. for 3 years.

Anyone can issue a cheque with post date , the date in this cheque may be any in future . But note one thing that the post dated instrument is not a cheque till the date mentioned on it does not matures. This post dated instument will be a cheque on the date mentioned on it .
