One of my close relatives are facing the problem. (the family lives in bihar)
Since last two months their daughter have gone out from home and didnot returned to home.
After few days she told by phone that she has married to someone she loves.
Both the boy and girls are in regular touch with the boys parents.
whenever girls parents are trying to get their details no one is providing the same.
the girls mother has gone through open heart surgery a few years back and her father is very simple person, devotional a govt employee. Her grand mother is in old age. the whole family is depressed and remain crying and waiting for their girl.
Even the family has not gone through any legal or police procedures.
They are even ready to support their liking and willing to meet their ward.
Does the family has rights to know about their daughter to whom they have all the parental facilities for more than 20 years of her life?
Does they have the right to know to whom their daughter is married and how she is living?
Why such regulations are made that a girl above 18 and boy above 21 may marry to each other without any concent of their parents?
Why parents have no rights of knowing about theair wards?

The family of the boy are not giving any details just say that they are living in punjab and the boy is in govt job.
