Divorce: sc orders

Dear Members,

In matrimonial disputes, the end result is usually a mutual settlement between parties. In case Honorable SC directs husband to pay 'X' amount to his wife as one time settlement, & that  all civil & criminal disputes between the parties will come to end once the payment is made.

Does such orders by SC provides immunity to Husband/Family from the other party from such litigations in future? After recieving the so called 'settlement amount' can wife file for maintenance or any other claim in future as orders are silent on maintenance etc...it just says one time settlement...

If not wife then can her relatives file a fresh suite (like defamation/attempt to murder/threatning etc)against husband/family and continue harassment? What will be the view of SC in such matters?

Please guide.
