Appraisal increament after resignation

Hi expert,

My organization is an IT consulting firm and I served for past last two years. This year (Jan-dec) appraisal process got over and suppose to release appraisal letter and increament arrears in march month but we did not got neither appraisal letter not arrears yet. Now I resigned on mid april and asked for appraisal letter to HR but they told that as I resigned now, they won't give any increament or letter as per HR policy.

But as per appraisal process email from HR head when appraisal began had mentioned that those who were working as regular employee and non-serving notice period till 28th feb are entitle to appraisal.

what steps I have to take to get my hike and appraisal letter from HR.

Pls guide.

Thanks

You are required to send a legal notice to your employer. If they fail to do the needful as per law, then you may approach the labour commissioner.
