Need urgent advice

Dear Experts,

I already posted in forum and got reply about my talaq.Now i received notice from Judicial court As my Ex-wife request the maintanence amount .So give that amonut othervise justify you or lawyer .The same contented notice received by register post with Aknowledgement to all my family members individually(Mother,sister,brother)All were received except myself.Because i am in foreign.So what can i do now?

My lawyer said dont receive your notice.other peoples go to attend the court.

Please give your valuable suggestion.

Refusal to recieve notice would be taken as recieved under the law your lawyer seems to have forgotten that. Take the notice and contest the case on merits.

As long as you don't get the notice, the case against you does not proceed.

Make sure it is not the DV court which is sending notice.

Dear Querist

if you are not in india and you want to settle the matter, appoint a repersentative in india and he/she can fight the case on behalf of you, refusal of notice is not a good way.
