There is no doubt about it. I am sure there is constitutional reforms committe.

Lets understand this similar to human beings. Just like in human beings we go to doctor after 40 years and have regular check ups. We know we are healthy and good, but it is always better to have check up and get certified that experience of sense of well being is genuine. Similarly we should have research and have our constitution constantly checked up. Well, the check ups may reveal that no change is required, but is always better to have check ups and confirm the same. For ever, PRESENT IS THE DESTINATION OF LIFE, so also  The Constituion of India should always be subjected to the acid test of PRESENT for its sustainence.

Does the Constitution failed us or we failed to live up to the ideals of the Constitution?

The  National  Commission  to  Review   the  Working  of  the  Constitution was setup by Government in the year 2000 and it had submitted its report. The final report can be read at https://lawmin.nic.in/ncrwc/ncrwcreport.htm

Both the things have happened to help fail each other. Constitution is also not without loopholes injected into it by vested interests and the loopholes are being exploited to the maximum by those vested interests in power. Those very same in power are today trying to say to people to say that they are enjoying everything.

The usual road to slavery is that first they take away your guns, then they take away your property, then last of all they tell you to shut up and say you are enjoying it. -- James A. Donald
