Is there any provision in law or a mandate/or case judgments that tell the witnesses on a promissory note are compulsory when the signature is disputed by the accused

The promissory note is not to be signed by witnesses necessarily,there is no such provision neither needs to be notriized,:but if the person disputes his signature then that is really you need to prove by witnesses in whose presence the borrower signed.
The witnesses who were present when you advanced the amount and or when the he signed the P.Note can testify against his denial.
