Boundary settlement

We have (myself and brother) some property in our village. At present the frontage earmarked is different according to Documents. An encroachment is seen happened. Shall I get my lost area? If so to whom I have to approach. As per his document it is very clear that some encroachment has happened. Expecting your advice.

The first thing you have to do is seek Tehasildar for a survey of land as per document.  The authorized surveyor marks such boundaries for nominal fees.  Once it is established, you can talk to your brother, then to elders and well-wishers of both families, and then issue a legal notice and after all this contact advocate for a suitable remedy.
