Receipt of summons from chief metropolitan magistrate in 498

Received summons from chief metropolitan magistrate court to appear to give evidence/reply charges under 498A case. stage of case mentioned in court website is issue of bw/nbw.Kindly let me know the meaning of it.for some others also, summons sent in the same case but they are studying in US/ at some other place in Andhra.Can appear on behalf of them also along with advocate on the die date?

This is a criminal case; accused is required to be present in the court. If there are constraints in appearing on the specified date, your advocate can seek adjournment. Any lapse may lead to warrant being issued.
