Special marriage act 1954 christian/hindu

I am a Catholic and my partner is Hindu . We are planning to register for Special Marriage Act and i wanted to know if i will lose any privileges as a Christian if i don't consider getting registered under the Catholic Marriage Act

If you want to marry Hindu partner then it is better to register the marriage under Special Marriage Act, 1954.  I think tthe children to be born shall  be be Catholics. so check your religious lines if you wish to go for Catholic marriage.

Yes you should marry under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. Both parties continue their religion as this is a civil marriage not religious marriage. The religion of children born out of such marriage open for the parents and children to decide.
