Probably you mean to mention ‘bedhakhal’ (to disown from property).

Isn’t IT?

Which personal law applies in this case?

Or are you all Hindu?

The property (ies) devolved upon you from whom?

Or all properties in your hands are of nature self earned/acquired or ancestral?

The properties are in which state?

The said abusive/threatening son is minor or major?

Is he earning?

Confirm?

One perspective is to release newspaper publications and keep copies..

Inform Local police station on threats etc and keep acknowledged copies.

Sign valid/registered deed e.g; WILL/settlement deed with life rights/gift deed etc in favor of beneficiary of your choice…for whole estate/your share in ancestral property.

Or sell the property and enjoy the proceeds…

Various recourses are available to senior citizens for protection from their abusive wards….and various help groups provide help…

You may go thru many similar queries in various threads at LCI and also Articles, Files, Judgments..
