In continuation with the above question, I am residing at jharkhand and planning to purchase a property as joint holder with my wife but registering property in the name of my wife.

You seem to be highly confused.

You say that you want to purchase a property as joint holder with your wife.  You can be joint holder only if both your and your wife's name comes on the Sale Deed and gets registered in the Registration office.

But you say that you want the property to be  registered ONLY in the name of your wife.  (If only your wife's name appears in the Sale Deed) then you cannot be a joint holder (even though you may pay the price of the property).

Therefore, be clear that if you want to be a joint holder, then both your and your wife's name has to be there on the Sale Deed.
