Indo-nepal treaty

The 1950 Indo-Nepal Treaty states that Indians and Nepalese are free to live, work, and buy properties in each other's country. The first two are common, but I have not seen/heard one example of buying properties. Is that legal/illegal?

According to me Nepal and Bhutan people can purchase property freely if you have still doubt ask for information under RTI from ministry of external affairs . RTI application can be send online
