Caterer is not paying for vegetables

I am a vegetable vendor. I supplied some vegetables to a caterer last month but he has not paid for the vegetables yet. He tries to ignore my calls and says he doesn't have money at the moment. It is all trust based informal work. There is nothing in writing. He now owes me Rs 6000. What course of action can I take against the caterer?
