Evidence by affidavit

What is Evidence by affidavit. When & Why court ask the complainant to submit that. Can you share a draft for the same wrt a consumer complaint against builder for not launching the project after taking money

Instead of getting the evidence of a party is recorded in person the court now direct the party to give its evidence through affidavit. Consult a lawyer who shall guide you in regard to filing of consumer complaint and other proceeding.

Consumer Forums decide complaints by adopting summary procedure so they take evidence through affidavit.
