File divorce when spouse is abroad

Spouse is abroad on an on-site assignment since last 2.6 years. I stay with my 5 year old in Pune, india. We jointly own a flat in Pune. His parents based in a different city in a different state. We have been separated for 1.6 years. Trying for mutual separation but he wants shared custody of daughter which I'm reluctant. My questions- 1. If I go for contested divorce what is my chance of getting full physical custody of daughter? 2. How to file for divorce if he is abroad. Regards.

First: Try to save the marriage.

If you have tried and differences are irreparable then try for MCD.

Both parties should interact with open mind.

Instead of mutual separation why dnt you try reconcile for future of your daughter. What do you think about your daughter future after divorce? You both can remarry but what about your daughter? Do you think your next husband can take care of her? Never only because of your both husband and wife your daughter will suffer forever. Think before taking any step
