Notice or Notification

Hi everyone,

Could anyone tell me which sentence is better, between the two?

*The notice of Board meetings shall be sent to each Director.

*The notification of Board meetings shall be sent to each Director.

Thanks in advance.

First one is correct.

Notice is the legal concept describing a requirement that a party be aware of legal process affecting their rights, obligations or duties.

Notification is the act of notifying, or something by which notice is given.

To notify (third-person singular simple present notifies, present participle notifying, simple past and past participle notified)

  1. (transitive) To give (someone) notice of (something).
