Fake documents

If they have started the job it could be very serious. If they have not started the job then it is still serious but in both cases you could be taken to court. It also depends on whether you are joining as a student or joining as a staff member of the university. It is not clear from your statement whether you are joining as a student or joining as a staff member. The university can take action against you in both cases.

If the fake issue is revealed then the univercity might terminate the person or the univercity might take desciplinary action against the person with internal enquiry.. and if the univercity authorities feel the offence is serious, then they might go for legal action against the person.
