Probate

My mother has written a will which is in favor of my sister and me. My sister told me that both of us sister's have to sign and accept the will before the will can be probated. Is it possible for just one person to sign the will and get it probated?

Your sister is right.

All beneficiaries, witnesses are noticed to appear before court.

Why you dont want to appear?

If the WILL is not under cloud then there may not be any urgent need to probate.

If the WILL is registered then it shall fetch more reliance.

If the WILL is probated then it shall bear the acceptance and seal of court and there shall be no contest left.
